the craft barn - alpha/dictionary challenge - letter r

r for reindeer

'the russell english dictionary' circa 1958

page primed with absorbent ground
(but it still didn't hold the ink well enough,
so i used 'neenah' card and glued it on)

using card as above, 'distress ink' tumbled glass,
dusty concord and vintage photo blended using
blending tool, then 'tim holtz' reflections - script
stamped using vintage photo.

using 'tim holtz' reindeer flight stamp set,
trees stamped with 'distress ink' weathered wood,
flourishes stamped with 'distress ink' black soot
with some ink removed to give a faded effect.
reindeer stamped using 'stazon' jet black, and
snowflakes stamped using 'versamark'
and embossed in white.

page coloured with blending tool as above,
reindeer on card glued in place.
sticky glitter letters (from stash)
added to top of page and to highlight word.

  1. Really lovely, beautiful stamp, love the way you have put the pages together.

  2. Beautiful. I really like the soft touches of blue and the snowflakes.

  3. I like the way you have carried over to the next page but not covered it completely. That is a gorgeous stamp and the glitter letters seem made for it.

  4. Such a beautiful reindeer - I like the way you have joined your pages and the letter you used for reindeer.

  5. Love this !! great interpretation
    Thanks for playing with us
