woods tag

'dreamweaver' bare trees stencil, used to emboss 
manila tag from behind, so that the trees were raised.
the raised area was then stamped with 'tim holtz' 
wood stamp using 'stazon' timber brown.

'distress stains' shabby shutters, tumbled glass and 
shaded lilac were used across the whole tag, and the tag dried.
'distress ink' walnut stain was applied with a blending tool,
 catching the high areas, and the edges distressed.

garden twine was fixed to tag with staples, 
to hide edge of stencilled area.

'idea-ology' word band (highlighted with white acrylic) secured
using crinkle ribbon coloured with 'distress stain' shaded lilac.
same ribbon tied through top of tag.

'idea-ology' muse token (highlighted with white acrylic), 
foliage and a bird charm, fixed in place using paper fasteners.

spritzed with water.  after drying, embossed using 'alterations' 

texture fade compass, then highlighted and distressed with

 'distress ink' walnut stain.

'mark twain' quote, designed on pc and printed onto manila card.

coloured using walnut stain (as above) and adhered to tag, 

over some washi tape, using shaker tape.

'idea-ology' tag labels with 'dymo' tape, mini gears, sprocket

 gears and game spinner fixed in place with paper fasteners.

with the letters cut from chitchat stickers, using a hole punch.

 coloured with 'distress stains' mowed lawn and salty ocean.
'stampendous' old world map stamped using 'archival' jet black.

'tim holtz' air travel ticket, stamped onto white shrink plastic
 using 'stazon' jet black, shrunk, then carefully antiqued using 
'adirondack' alcohol ink mushroom and pebble, 
trying not to smudge the stazon.  
ticket adhered using 'wondertape' and bulldog clip added.

'idea-ology' enamelled tag also antiqued using alcohol ink 
as above, then transfer added.
film ribbon fixed in place using paper fasteners from enamelled
 tag and game spinner, which was added to centre of compass.

sentiment from 'tim holtz' stamp set world traveller, stamped
 using 'archival' vermilion, and adhered using shaker tape.

 tied through top of tag.

onto sticky back canvas using multi medium (as a resist).

after drying the multi medium, canvas spritzed using 

'dylusions' squeezed orange, bubblegum pink and funky fuchsia.

when dry, canvas adhered to tag, trimmed and edges distressed.

'idea-ology' tissue tape and washi tape adhered to tag.

vintage sheet music cut into an oval, coloured using 

'distress ink' picked raspberry and ripe persimmon, 

edges distressed and then glued to tag.

 clearly for art - modelling film using 'stazon' jet black.

wings cut out from film, heated to shape and stapled in place.

pen nib, word band and alpha parts '4', 

painted using the distress paints as above.
